Springbank 14 Bourbon Wood was tasted at Meeting No. 77 on February 28, 2019. Out of 5, we rated it very highly at 3.64. Springbank 14 Bourbon Wood ranks 9th overall in Scotch. Costing $115, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.
Spicy and electric. Enters unassumingly, lingers, and flies into the sinuses like wasabi.
Menthol and peppery. Nearly undrinkable without H2O. Now it’s interesting. A little fruit and the earthiness opens up to the sweet sweet sky.
Bourbon with a slice of peat. An interesting finish on a really good dram!
Hot and dirty. Notes of vanilla, Long finish.
Wet wool, in the best possible way. Also vanilla.
Sweet clover honey on the nose; burnt honey, peppers, cereals
Soft scotch, love this pillow. At this proof, I’m surprised at the ease of drink. Lavender.
