Tasting Notes

First Tasted at Meeting No. 91 in June 2020
 •  4.5

Delicious Springbank. BBQ on nose. Even though the cask strength is meaty, it doesn’t land with the expected heat. Warm and comfy. Great sunset pour. Sherry finish is profound.

Machine grease and beauty. BBQ sauce and labor sweat. This tastes like I earned it.

 •  4.5

Really nice. Good depth. What i imagine the smokestack at a Kellogg’s if it were at sea. Some smoke, some honey, some malt, some salt water. The aftertaste has a good rumble brown sugar, cinnamon and good amount of bite. Nice pour.

This bottle has something to say and it says it loud. Intense flavors of smoky sweetness with a strong alcohol note. Finish lingers for a long time in the mouth and the chest. Ironically, this one might be best for sobering up quickly.
