Tasting Notes

First Tasted at Meeting No. 96 in January 2021
 •  4.5

Got a lot of vanilla and prune on the nose. It’s fairly hot, and I enjoyed it more with water. Post water I got sweet tarts and dried apricot

 •  4.5

Mmmmmm. Heavy oak, vanilla, baking spices. The taste is very herbal, with hints of vanilla, caramel, and oak as expected. The proof makes the finish last as it's mouth coating.

Nose like a rye, dilly. Melon-Licous Wooo it’s hot! Finishes very herbaceous like a great pair with a good rack of lamb.

 •  4.0

Not a lot on the nose at first but opens up after a drop or two of water. BIG flavor with a lot of spice. Super long herbaceous finish.

 •  4.0

Delicious. Hot upfront and then fades to a complex spirit with hints of orange, mint and a ton of spice!

 •  4.0

Wow! Excellent! I would actually prefer a lower alcohol content. Watermelon candy finish. Hot up front with the high ABV; the ABV distracts from the subtlety of the flavor. The aftertaste is so complex it defies description. This is one of the best Bourbons I've tasted. I rated it "introspection" because it requires time to open out in your mouth. I have an overwhelming desire to eat Cambozola (Italian Blue Cheese) or Heritage Blue ( Tasmanian Blue Cheese blended with Brie).
