We tasted Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select Seattle Spirits Society Pick at Meeting No. 77 on February 28, 2019. We rated it exceptionally at 4.27 out of 5. Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select Seattle Spirits Society Pick ranks 6th overall in Bourbon.
Distinctive, memorable finish. Lingers on the pallette without burn. Smooth. Complex.
Cherry, vanilla, rinse and repeat. Imagine a stone fireplace in the Rockie Mountains, roaring through a blizzard. Basset on the lap. Yes!
Cherry, caramel, buttery. All the usual characteristics of good bourbon and Deeeeep!
Webster’s defines “society” as an organization or club formed for a particular purpose or activity. This bourbon embodies that definition, as the nose, taste, and finish work together for the purpose of pure enjoyment. Cinnamon and butter on the nose, with a sweet, but not cloying taste. The finish is long, without being too hot.
Wood smell, Coca-Cola smells. A little bite with a smooth finish. Cherry after taste.
Spicy and candy with a touch of butters and a long finish. Love the nose and just about everything about. Best for watching a parade.
Green apple, glue, spices on the nose; vanilla, grass; buttery mouthfeel
Caramel, vanilla bean, minerality, concrete, dry grass, oily nuts
Smells and initially tastes like banana bread
