We tasted Heaven Hill Select Stock #44822 at Meeting No. 27 on August 28, 2014. We rated it exceptionally at 4.03 out of 5. Heaven Hill Select Stock #44822 ranks 10th overall in Bourbon. At a street price of $250, this spirit is expensive, but worth it.
Aroma - very light, butterscotch, vanilla. Mouthfeel - extremely coating, thick, rich. Flavor - juicy, fruity, complex layers, leather. Lingers hot for a few minutes, pleasant layers of flavor linger. Great for a by itself session. Needs no companion.
Dark, mysterious nose -- attic, Leather. Tsunami flavor. Full on - oh, this is what bourbon should taste like. Would love to try this at a slightly lower proof. Sweet but not too sweet, wood, but not too much wood. This is not a relaxing spirit, but in a good way.
Easy, smooth, bold taste. I feel like I'm drinking a real spirit. Hints of caramel, cherry garcia, spice. After drinking, the "spice" lingers a while like I just ate a hot wing.
