We tasted Springbank 21 at Meeting No. 77 on February 28, 2019. We rated it very highly at 3.86 out of 5. Springbank 21 ranks 4th overall in Scotch. At a street price of $400, this spirit is expensive, but worth it.
So easy, Fuck you Springbank, my wallet hates you! Finish is like a light whisper, so faint and just disappears.
Finish like a hot cliff. Like throwing a torch. I enjoyed that this was laid back and not so “in your face”. Smells like green apples, and has a bright but rich taste.
After the Oloroso, this is like water. Smoke. Kinda. Carmel nose.
Very approachable and smooth, but misses the mark. High price and low impact.
Very different not what I expected. Heavy phenolic presence that is masking what I expect is rich in nuance. Once I warned it up in my mouth I’m getting more and more.
Prune on the nose; Olive oil
Light and ephemeral nose. Spicy heat.
