Like a leather whip soaked in pitted fruit and hot maple.
Nose of macintosh apples.Levels of harmony sign together and continue to resound for a long finish. Candied orange peel aftertaste.
All I taste is fig. But it is prominent enough that I feel like I'm eating the inside of a Fig Newton.
Nose: rich apple cider and raisins. Taste: I can feel my taste buds dying... in the best of ways. Pucker-up!
Mint and heat up front - faint funky old wood on the mid-palate; slightly mellower, owing to the lower (relatively) proof. Seems a bit one-note. Definitely not as complex as the Glen Grant (SMWS 9.74). Water tames the mint and heat - more traditional caramel and wood scotchy-scotch-scotch approach.
Slight caramel and ozone nose. Elegant, sugary plum with something bitter on the finish. Robust, but is a block away from where i'm at. Less desirable with water me thinks.
Catching a hint of dried apricot and cigar shop humidor on the nose. I'm having a tough time catching a distinct flavor here. The aftertaste smacks of butane.
