Exclusively matured in selected sherry oak casks from Jerez, Spain & bottled at original cask strength.
We tasted Macallan Cask Strength at Meeting No. 24 on May 29, 2014. We rated it very highly at 3.88 out of 5, and member ratings were in strong agreement. Macallan Cask Strength ranks 8th overall in Scotch. At a street price of $80, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.
Butter, cinnamon, rich. Restrained heat for cask strength.
Sherry striker, deep Macallan. Beautiful.
Delicious, sherry cask, sneaks up on you and kicks your ass kind of bottle.
Chocolat nose and dark toast. Powerful clean explosion of spice and dark chocolate. A pleasant burn.
