On the nose I'm getting a butterscotch/cherry scent from it. I can definitely feel the heat on this one. For the taste I'm getting a spicy-fuely-bourbony taste. I really like the fume upon the exhale on this one.
Sweet but potent smell. Amazingly delicate for 55.3%, you are intensely aware of its strength, but never overwhelming. Air has never tasted this good.
Musty cherry, sugar, plum on the nose. Alluring. Tight, concentrated pockets of flavor. Long finish, and it's not just the cask strength. Slightly oaky, dry finish. Spice, gingerbread. Solid, drinkable spirit. Reminds me of Highland Park 18 but drier.
Tear inducing, mouth numbing. Toasted sugar.
