Aromas of apple, Delicious! Sweet, plums and Apple that coats the tongue.
Orange gumby coating the mouth, but even with the high ABV, it is not harsh. Excited to taste, sad that I won't be able to find this. My basset hound would sit on my lap, as I enjoy a bonfire in the backyard; mosquitoes are no bother, because this is whisky zen.
Melon nose with a caramel backbone. Good balance.
Dusty glazed nuts in the nose, yep. More barley. Caramel and intense apricot. Sour and sweet like McDonalds McNugget sauce. This is hard to decode and worthy of a solid half hour of contemplation. Adding a decent amount of water works really well and maybe is worth a bump in rating.
Smells subtle, almost nothing at all on the nose. But when you take the first sip, it's pretty strong. Bitter, like tree bark. It has a punch and because of that it's hard to find the palette.
