This spirit was selected by vote of The Glenlivet Guardianship, a unique expression from The Glenlivet with its Oloroso Sherry finish and high proof.
Glenlivet The Guardians' Chapter was tasted at Meeting No. 31 on December 18, 2014. Out of 5, we rated it very highly at 3.67, though we had some disagreement among member ratings. Glenlivet The Guardians' Chapter ranks 13th overall in Scotch. Costing $84, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.
Tasty, like a spicy butterscotch treat, melts on your tongue then nips your lips with a peppery orange potpourri. Just super.
Sweet floral nose reminiscent of my favorite tequila (Clase Azul Reposado), ultra smooth. Drinkable daily, could easily become my go-to spirit. Do not sense the higher alcohol content. Best for: an intro to Scotch
Excellent nice Nose - sweetness, leathery - just a hint Taste - smooth sweet oak with a nice spice Lingers nicely, an excellent end to the night
Caramel and flowers on the nose. Fruit up front - definitely nutmeg at the end. Definitely smoother than the bottling proof would indicate; a very nice, full bodied Speyside Scotch. Best for: celebrating a military victory.
Malty, aromatic nose. I like the higher alcohol percentage over the traditional The Glenlivet spirits. Providing a unique way to sample a common brand.
