From village Candelaria Yegole, made by Aquilino Garcia Lopez.
We tasted Mezcal Vago Elote at Meeting No. 32 on January 29, 2015. We rated it very highly at 3.22 out of 5, though we had some disagreement among member ratings. Mezcal Vago Elote ranks 18th overall in Mezcal.
Sweet spring in the air, and the neighbors are burning plastic. Delicious and bright.
Agave smoke, orange peels, lime, street tacos.
Sweet agave scent with a hint of citrus. Smooth with a cedar-y aftertaste.
Very smokey nose with slight undertone of skunk cabbage. Puckered my mouth from dryness - layer of corn syrup.
Strong - harsh. Straight to the point, smells like cleaning alcohol.
