The Glenmorangie Signet is a blend of the distiller's oldest (i.e., 30 year+) whisky's casked in American White Oak. Whisky of The Year at The 2016 International Whisky Competition.
Glenmorangie Signet was tasted at Meeting No. 48 on June 29, 2016. Out of 5, we rated it very highly at 3.88. Glenmorangie Signet ranks 3rd overall in Scotch. Costing $159, this spirit is expensive, but worth it.
Nice smooth, hints of tobacco, leather, and a wee bit of musk.
Sweet nectar of the gods!! #represent
Glenmorangie - toasted dark chocolate but like water on the tongue. Smoked water.
No age statement but delicious. This is top notch big distillery stuff like a Macallan 18. No one will ever dislike this, but you could say it's not as exciting as it should be.
Deep rich color, chocolate muffin on the nose. Drinks lighter than expected, with a lingering spice on the finish. Ridiculous box presentation is a plus.
Rich and dark. Somewhat 2 dimensional. Very drinkable and pleasant. Good pairing scotch.
Strong, wonderful banana bread aroma. Not sure if my palate is dead, but I'm not feeling this one when tasting. Hard to drink after the easy going nature of the rest of the field tonight.
