Polly's Cask

Tullibardine, Bottled by Alexander Murray
40% ABV
$115

A unique partnership between Alexander Murray independent bottlers, Tullibardine, and Firestone Brewing has brought us this Scotch aged in barrels that were ex-bourbon, then ex-pale ale. The Tullibardine purchased by Alexander Murray has no age statement, but it is aged one year in the casks from the Firestone Double Barrel Ale.

We tasted Polly's Cask at Meeting No. 85 on October 24, 2019. We rated it very highly at 3.00 out of 5, though we had some disagreement among member ratings. Polly's Cask ranks 10th overall in Scotch. At a street price of $115, this spirit is on the pricier side given the our rating of it.

Tasting Notes

First Tasted at Meeting No. 85 in October 2019
 •  4.5

Creamy, smooth (Of course... How could you have creamy and not smooth?)

 •  4.0

Caraway seeds, caramel, peppers. Fireside spice and all things nice.

 •  0.5

Very much just a sharp beer. Not a favorite. Couldn’t drink much of this. Blah. Smells like a cardboard fart.
