We tasted Clynelish 14 Year at Meeting No. 21 on February 27, 2014. We rated it very highly at 3.17 out of 5. Clynelish 14 Year ranks 8th overall in Scotch. At a street price of $65, this spirit is on the pricier side given the our rating of it.
Perfumey, yet roasted nuts, cinnamon rolls, malt balls. All over the place, but the taste is rich, yet right down the middle. Not too oaked or sherried. We didn't have the price on this because it was from a guest member, but I think this will be a cabinet addition.
Smoky raisin smell, and the taste has a bit of fruit tabacco like you can get from a hooka session.
Raisin -- can't think of much else. Extremely fine, especially for a liquor that I had never heard of...
