We tasted Lagavulin 16 at Meeting No. 84 on September 26, 2019. We rated it very highly at 3.71 out of 5. Lagavulin 16 ranks 16th overall in Scotch. At a street price of $74, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.
Caramelized campfire and burnt fruit.
Delicious, campfire in my mouth.
Smooth caramel, with a slight bite finished with rolling honey.
Light woody sweet welcome. Peaty smoke shows up mid way and lingers to the end.
This is good. Nose of tar and rubber, with a little pear smoke. Tastes sweet with light fruits and caramel. Finish is medium.
