Tasting Notes

First Tasted at Meeting No. 48 in June 2016
 •  4.5

Ocean on the nose with vanilla and florals and honey. Tastes like lemon and anise. Herbaceous.

 •  4.5

Apple and other fruit. I think I tasted a bit of seaweed. Initial burst of fruit which becomes particularly lemony with time. Finish is long and consistent with notes of pepper.

 •  4.5

Graham cracker or even Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Bold but drinkable with perfectly even heat. Own this but am afraid to finish my bottle because I like it so much. Sherry but not like speyside over-the-top - just perfect. Not much I like better than this.

 •  4.5

Banana and toffee on the nose. Aggressive spice but opens up a bit with a couple drops of water. Incredibly complex, can't get enough.

 •  4.5

Sticks with you. Smacks of cherry wetbacks. Is that rhubarb? Bam bam. Truly a delicious cask strength - would not be able to drink a lot of it, however.

 •  3.0

A bit of sorghum and vanilla, then taste really strong on the back of the tongue before dissipating on the way down. With water sharp but almost no taste at all.

 •  3.0

Hot raisin must.
