The Storm Tossed refers to eight barrels that were split between two of the Discovery Channel series "Deadliest Catch" fishing trawlers and sent to sea for two seasons to age. Two rival captains used the opportunity to create friendly competition to raise money for the Seattle Fisherman’s Memorial and Sea Scouts. Captain Sig tied his four barrels to the bow of the F/V Northwestern, which meant the distillate received significant agitation and extreme temperature changes compared to the other boat. Sig named his whiskey the "bow bender".

Nose smells like an airplane cabin with a hint cardamom.
Makes me think of pine fresh cleaner.
Orange peel nose and tons of spice. It's like drinking Christmas.
Binaca. Mint. Brush your teeth whiskey.
Mint gum. Chewing mint gum.
Botanical. Tastes like gin.
Well-done, Sig! The "bow bender" is much better than the other variety. The agitation clearly opened up this spirit. It's definitively sweeter than its cousin. What a great story for a great cause!
I could brush my teeth in morning with this.
Christmas, cardamom and candle wax.
Sweet Apple Crisp. Where is the vanilla ice cream?
Vaporub meets young alcohol. Best for keeping your breath fresh while still consuming whiskey.
Citrus fruit and mint scented. No alcohol at all - which is not bad. Tastes like an aperitif. Did I drink this in college.
