WhistlePig 15 Year Straight Rye Whiskey
WhistlePig farm has the rare distinction of creating barrels from their own oak trees. The 15 year expression is sourced from a Canadian distiller at 10 years of age and finished for an additional 5 years in WhistlePig's Vermont Estate Oak barrels. The bottle we are drinking was signed by master distiller Dave Pickerell at our barrel selection tasting.
We tasted WhistlePig 15 Year Straight Rye Whiskey at Meeting No. 72 on August 30, 2018. We rated it exceptionally at 4.00 out of 5. WhistlePig 15 Year Straight Rye Whiskey ranks 6th overall in Rye. At a street price of $200, this spirit is expensive, but worth it.

Tasting Notes
Soften cushiony nose leads me to an all warming rye spice bodysuit. You can’t not like this. Soothing. Comes with training wheels for Rye newbs. Best for an ASMR sesh.
On the nose it’s has a twinge of turpentine and raw sugar. So so mellow with the mouth feel…getting some burnt cinnamon or caramel with the taste
