We tasted WhistlePig The Boss Hog IV - The Black Prince at Meeting No. 72 on August 30, 2018. We rated it exceptionally at 4.47 out of 5. WhistlePig The Boss Hog IV - The Black Prince ranks 2nd overall in Rye. At a street price of $700, this spirit is expensive, but well worth the high price tag.
Black Prince: Wow. The finish on this is out of this world. Armagnac really sings through this. Long spicy complex.
Restrained nose but red pez, plum and dried apricots. Paradoxically, it’s both mouth wateringly juicy and mouth puckeringly dry.
Brown sugar and nectarines, can’t believe this is cask strength. Delicious!
