I liked the smoothness. Hints of carmel, vanilla, maybe some bananas. Would be nice in a cocktail -- maybe a whiskey sour.
Deceptively sweet smell for a whiskey that packs a bit of a punch. Drank this one way too fast, a fact that's probably an endorsement.
Enters sharply, blossoms into banana-macsdamia, then finishes a wee toward salty-sour
Yeast nose, but not so potent on the tongue. A little hot and spicy. Through-line of wheat mash. Cherry malt. Butterscotch.
"It's Bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!" -G. Stefani
Smells like whiskey. So far so good. Caramel and maple syrup on the nose. Bananas and char. Not much of a bite on the back end. A little burnt rubber on the second pass. Water brings out the wood. I gotta say, given the age I was expecting worse. This is not too shabby for hipster whiskey. Best for sipping while trying on your second pair of Warby Parkers and debating the merits of the last two Sleigh Bells albums.
