This cask strength expression bursts with flavor balanced by the years spent in first fill ex-bourbon cask.
We tasted Paul John Classic at Meeting No. 45 on March 31, 2016. We rated it very highly at 3.55 out of 5. Paul John Classic ranks 16th overall in Other Whiskey. At a street price of $114, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.
Complex, assertive, sweet, nutty, and incredibly satisfying. Grabbed the bottle and poured a second taste.
Really nice aroma. Hot on the tongue, sweet notes though, kind of fruit but with a bite. Not bad.
Banana butter nose, gripping bite.
