We tasted Viejo Tonel Mosto Verde at Meeting No. 42 on November 19, 2015. We rated it very highly at 3.15 out of 5. Viejo Tonel Mosto Verde ranks 3rd overall in Pisco.
Nose: Back to the Ortho fertilizer soraying the flower bed... Mouth: Inner tube, flowers
Finally a pisco that smells like grape (in a good way). Same white dog whiskey notes. Totally balanced and drinkable.
This is much smoother, much less alcohol burn on the back end. Flavors are more integrated and above the brandy/ether notes. A nice licorice note on the back end. Best for getting drunk and arguing with Hemingway about how YOU had it rougher that time you got lost in the jungle.
