We tasted Macchu Pisco at Meeting No. 42 on November 19, 2015. We rated it 2.38 out of 5. Macchu Pisco ranks 5th overall in Pisco.
Lip puckering finish, musty aroma with a little sour note
Sour soft tannins. Diluted sweet pickle juice with raisins.
Grape juice on the nose, moonshine on the throat. Yeasty. Ugh. Is this the base liquor for Maddog 20|20?
A little more of that expected grappa like nose, not as floral and fruity as the Payet, but an interesting grape note-- a slight whiskey like note as well, maybe. This might be more complex but not unapproachable. Real brandy, I guess. Best for getting drunk with Anthony Bourdain and arguing about Bruce Chatwin in a bar in Lima.
