We tasted Samaroli ‘S Peaty 2017 Edition 1995 at Meeting No. 87 on December 19, 2019. We rated it very highly at 3.71 out of 5. Samaroli ‘S Peaty 2017 Edition 1995 ranks 53rd overall in Scotch. At a street price of $200, this spirit is expensive, but worth it.
The peat backside is delectable. Sweet in, Smokey out. Coats the throat. A solid cigar pairing.
Funky cheese, custard, light peat, rotting wood
Definitely taste the peat here and it's a pleasant sipper most of the way through. Finish is looooooong but goes downhill at the 20 sec mark when the residual flavor and aroma is reminiscent of a stale lager beer.
