Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia was tasted at Meeting No. 52 on October 27, 2016. Out of 5, we rated it very highly at 3.88. Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia ranks 4th overall in Tequila. Costing $150, this spirit is expensive, but worth it.
Mild oaky nose. Minerally taste in the front, more medicinal oaky in the back. Like a more refined version of what I expect from tequila.
Definitely not the Cuervo I remember--no lime and salt required
Not the Cuervo from your college days. Dark gold color, aggressive spice up front that mellows into peppery sweetness. Deep richness that's hard to parse. Good stuff.
Nice oak finish, reminds me of a whisky, A little smoke
Restrained nose, complex. Wood for days. Like an elder statesman, but not to dull or stuffy. This is your everyday treat-yo-self Tequila.
Oak tree meet agave, agave meet oak tree. Scent is reminiscent of a young whiskey with a sour tinge. Excellent oaky drying pinch balanced with delicate smoke and agave sour.
Leather bull whips. Richer, fuller, and kind of boring.
Apples, floral nose, spicy on the pallet, spearmint and cedar on the finish.
