This is not rum. It’s totally a whiskey cloaked as rum. Could not drink a lot of this, but totally delicious. Cloves and cinnamon on the nose.
An otherwise common sweet Oak nose made unique by a hint of play dough. There is a spice in this rum I haven’t tasted since I ate a barbecued rock dove in Shanghai.
The wood stands out in this one, almost overpowering the interesting rum characteristics. Within the context of the other rums tonight, this tastes more like whiskey like it’s afraid to be Jamaican. So, I’m a little ambivalent.
