Westland Golden Promise was tasted at Meeting No. 83 on August 29, 2019. Out of 5, we rated it very highly at 3.63. Westland Golden Promise ranks 5th overall in American Whiskey. Costing $135, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.
Bready, warm nose. Plummy, nutty, fig newton including the cookie. This is the tops from this series I think, and well rounded to appeal broadly with perhaps the exception of the strength.
Golden pillows of comfort. This is going to convince non whiskey drinkers that they need to change their minds. I really love this. Butterscotch forward.
Deep, bold and delicious!!
Cherries, both on nose and palate. Haha. A little stank
Spiced oatmeal cookie. Similar to the Maris Otter. Has the same Pilsner-like back-end.
