Dark fruit raisins, cranberries, back of the mouth pinching like citric acid and fun dip. Tastes the way you imagine good whisky tasting when you're too young to drink whisky.
Light caramel smell; I can sniff a bit of peat & bourbon — curious... Butterscotch deliciousness. Soft palate — patient aftertaste. "Great house whisky!" — favorite quote of the night. Does have a smilier flair to Westland — a Seattle favorite.
Nose — Tutti Frutti, soft butterscotch notes. Taste — explosive burn up front, tailing off to smooth vanilla. Sweet agave. A few drops of water smooths everything out, brings out a light smokiness.
A complex flavor that succeeds with most notes but falls flat in some. A sipper, not a gulper.
