We tasted W.L. Weller 12 Year at Meeting No. 27 on August 28, 2014. We rated it very highly at 3.77 out of 5. W.L. Weller 12 Year ranks 22nd overall in Bourbon. At a street price of $27, this spirit is an extraordinary value. Why not add a bottle to your cabinet?.
Thick, viscous - can taste the sweetness of the wheat added to this. Caramel apple, cherry and 12 other things. If you can get past the syrup thickness, this is heaven. Seriously dangerous - easier to drink than anything, ever.
Damn good nose. Once you pour, you can't stop. Yum Yum Yum.
Fantastic. Way too easy to drink. This is how you wind up in jail in Oxford, Mississippi after another Ole Miss loss. Hotty Toddy!
Aroma - butter cookie. Mouthfeel - medium, center of tongue, doesn't linger very long. Flavor - buttered popcorn or bread, candied nuts. So easy to drink - an easy sipper for a hard day or an easy day or any day.
Smokey bourbon with a maraschino cherries spike, like a manhattan without the vermouth.
