Midleton Dair Ghaelach Grinsell's Wood Tree 7 was tasted at Meeting No. 53 on November 17, 2016. Out of 5, we rated it exceptionally at 4.50. Midleton Dair Ghaelach Grinsell's Wood Tree 7 is the top rated Irish Whiskey that we've tried. Costing $250, this spirit is expensive, but well worth the high price tag.
Nose: butter rum and cloves; powerful caramel and spice, slow building burn, vaporizing warmth. Hotter and flatter with a few drops of water. Long fruit finish.
Nose is bubblegum and vanilla and sawdust. This actually makes me like Irish culture. A little leather, but a great balance.
Beautiful!!! A whole new level of Irish Whiskey!
Mouthwatering vanilla woodiness. Big body for Irish whiskey. Slight maple syrup and menthol complexity.
Tree seven smells like butterscotch. Vanilla. I'm afraid to take a full sip. It's really good and it's interesting. Also everything else in front of me tastes like nothing now.
Favorite of the night. Balanced heat with vanilla and chocolate notes.
Smokey, hearty, spicy, meat stick of a whiskey. #yessirillhaveanother! Pour me two fingers from the roots of the #7 tree with a single ice cube and good movie. Chill fest circa 1995.
A just exhibition of power. Few 57%ers are this sipable.
