A fine introduction to the style, the kind of whiskey you’d pass around a campfire and sing country songs with.
We tasted George Dickel No. 8 Tennessee Whisky at Meeting No. 40 on September 24, 2015. We rated it 2.97 out of 5. George Dickel No. 8 Tennessee Whisky ranks 35th overall in American Whiskey. At a street price of $19, this spirit is an extraordinary value. Why not add a bottle to your cabinet?.
Freshly sawed wood on the nose. Winey on the nose. Cigar tobacco plenty of barrel oak; spice heat. Pretty restrained despite heat; iced tea, bergamot, cinnamon.
Nose sweet with hints of fermenting apples and yeast. Palate stings a bit but finishes nice.
A delightful nutty aroma and finishes on the palette. Could throw these back all night long.
Perfectly enjoyable. Nose reminds me of state fair pastries like a mixture between cookies and funnel cakes. Has a lot potential as a high volume drinker.
