We tasted Collingwood 21 Year Rye at Meeting No. 19 on December 19, 2013. We rated it very highly at 3.05 out of 5. Collingwood 21 Year Rye ranks 29th overall in Other Whiskey. At a street price of $80, this spirit is on the pricier side given the our rating of it.
Tail of orange peels and memories of black bears foraging for blueberries in the boreal forest. Best unique flavor of the night. There is a strong spice that I can't place - delicious. Vanilla finish is comfortable, almost welcoming.
Apple jolly rancher. So soft that it slides down before you have a chance to catch any of the notes. Maple mellowing may have mellowed everything right out of this. Was hoping for more but let down by Canada once again. Higher proof please!
Wood, orange, more orange, spice, vibrates on the tongue but reminiscent of wet paper pulp. A few drops of water improve it - mellows out the orange and smoothes the vibration out. Buttered popcorn aftertaste. Mighty smooth, though.
