WhistlePig Old World (2018)
WhistlePig Old World is a blend of 12-year-old rye with premium European oak casks - Madeira, Sauternes, Port, Cognac, and Sherry and will be available on June 26, 2015 (2 days after our June 24th tasting!). The Seattle Spirits Society tasted an early cut that was 100% French Sauternes that was only available in limited release.
We tasted WhistlePig Old World (2018) at Meeting No. 72 on August 30, 2018. We rated it exceptionally at 4.17 out of 5. WhistlePig Old World (2018) ranks 4th overall in Rye. At a street price of $125, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.

Rad. Old world wines come through.
Stone fruit and baking spices. Scrumptious spiced cider.
Dried plums & cherries, cloves, balanced. Warming without any harshness. The kind of rye you want to come home to.
