We tasted Samaroli Demerara Dark Rum 1995 at Meeting No. 22 on March 27, 2014. We rated it very highly at 3.37 out of 5, though we had some disagreement among member ratings. Samaroli Demerara Dark Rum 1995 ranks 6th overall in Rum. At a street price of $130, this spirit is expensive given the our rating of it.

Subtle sweet aroma of caramel and sea breeze. Soft mouthfeel with layers of flavor that develop over the length of the palate. Sea salt caramel, delocious and enjoyable to spend some time with.

Pine needles on my tongue reminds of a tough portage on the Kopka River in NW Ontario. Pine bows slapping me in the face as I trudge into the gorge. Vanilla pudding.
