Made with malted and unmalted rice grown in the Kumamoto province of Japan, fermented with groundwater, then aged in first fill sherry casks. Cask #1019
Ohishi Whisky - Sherry Cask was tasted at Meeting No. 62 on September 28, 2017. Out of 5, we rated it very highly at 3.62. Ohishi Whisky - Sherry Cask ranks 4th overall in Other Whiskey. Costing $82, this spirit is on the pricier side, but well worth the money.

Fun and interesting. Would have pegged this as a Scotch. The Sherry cask shines through and there are plenty of layers to uncover.

I really liked this one. Assertive without being overwhelming.

Interesting nose takes an unfortunate turn on the tongue. Strange. No harmony. Whiskey meets plum wine. This Glenmorangie has gone bad.

Starts good, then a bit cat-pissy.
