Tasting Notes

First Tasted at Meeting No. 63 in October 2017
 •  4.0

Smooth with a hint of burnt chocolate on the back end, crimson and clover.

 •  3.5

Thinner than it’s big brother Soloist. Comes out Sweet on the nose, smooth body and delicious!

 •  3.5

Holy nose, Batman. Smells a little like burnt hair. Tastes a little sour, with a pine finish. But still drinkable?

 •  3.5

Mmmmm. A little smokey and oaky for sure. I like this. Not as thick or as elegant as its big brother but much much easier to drink. Good dried fruit notes. Maybe some fig? Either way. This is a sessionable Kavalan sherry cask.

 •  2.5

Taught. A little off. Too much char, not enough balance. Like a fishery grade paint remover with a glimmer of drinkability.

 •  2.5

Home style bread pudding followed by the burnt rubber of a hit and run where nobody got hurt.

 •  1.5

Heavy charcoal and a hint of burnt rubber and chalk adorn this spirit like a cloak.
