Tasting Notes

First Tasted at Meeting No. 59 in June 2017

Super interesting. Really ripe vegetal nose with hints of black lime (true funk!) On the palate you definitely get some green but a nice hint of vanilla and more citrus notes. I really think I'm picking up some Brett on this which is weird but really cool. Long finish and this one doesn't dry out your mouth like the other ones. This is a very fun drink!

Banana musk. Funk. Inspired this Agricola theme tonight and have been hunting this for two years after tasting at Rumba. Nothing like this, ever.

 •  3.5

Smells like an overripe mango and tastes like urchin/briney sprinkled with cinnamon

 •  3.5

Compost on the nose but pure satisfaction on the palate!

A unique fresh rum scent I haven't smelled since the Canuto Aguardiente of Ecuador at meeting number 17. Like damp porous rock in a salt mine. Though the Dillon is much less extreme towards the funk. Electric navigation though the palate. Well done.

Sorghum sorghum sorghum -- baiju. A rum that needs more sugar. Unique -- but enjoyable? Meh.
