The purest expression of Amrut is the cask strength single malt. Rich barley from the base of the Himalayan range, aged at pace in the hot Bangalore climate.
We tasted Amrut Cask Strength Single Malt Whiskey at Meeting No. 45 on March 31, 2016. We rated it very highly at 3.17 out of 5, though we had some disagreement among member ratings. Amrut Cask Strength Single Malt Whiskey ranks 17th overall in Other Whiskey. At a street price of $95, this spirit is on the pricier side given the our rating of it.

Musty funk like a bruichladdich with some bright fruit notes. All over the place with bright super sharp fruit but a very drying long finish that gets more plummy and cola nut.
